Former Kathiani MP Wavinya Ndeti has questioned Chief Justice David Maraga’s commitment to the fight against corruption.
Ndeti, who in December 2018 lost the court battle for the Machakos gubernatorial seat said Maraga has not proven to Kenyans that he is ready to back President Uhuru Kenyatta among other leaders in the fight against the vice.
Ndeti said Maraga needs to step up his effort in the fight to change the nation.
“Chief Justice Maraga, are you really committed to fighting corruption? God knows the deepest secret of men. Wish you well," Ndeti twitted on Sunday.
During the National Conference on Corruption last Friday, Maraga said he is dedicated to fighting graft.
Speaking at the Bomas of Kenya, Maraga said the nation will not achieve its aim in the fight to end the loss of public resources if blame games continue.
“The fight against corruption is not going to be won by blame games. It will not be won by Friday arrests. Let truth be told. We are not going to win this war by these kinds of gimmicks,” Maraga said.
Maraga urged leaders and the general public to join hands in order to make Kenya corruption free.
