For those who grew up in the 80s, the name Catherine Kasavuli sounds all too familiar given that she started her career in the media industry at the Voice of Kenya.
By then, this was the only radio station in the country. She worked as a radio continuity announcer where she managed to attract a large audience of listeners.
Years later, she broke the norm and graduated to a news presenter with Kenya’s first privately-owned media station, KTN in 1990.
Since then, she worked in various media houses making her one of Kenya’s best-talented media personalities of all time.
Her absence though on our screens have raised questions of her whereabouts. She was last seen on our screens years back at Citizen TV where she worked as a news anchor.
The mother of one-Martin Kasavuli, has been busy building her empire. She is the founder and the CEO of Kasavuli Media Group.

Then, there is the former Citizen TV news anchor, Johnson Mwakazi who has been missing from the scenes for a while.
Mwakazi rose to stardom when working at Citizen TV due to his charismatic voice and humble nature which many viewers liked.

However, in 2014, he quit citing he needed to “grow further” in his career. He joined a new start-up, WTV in the capacity of a director.
But a while later, the establishment was hit by a cash crunch and it shut down pushing him out of media circles.
In a past interview with a local daily, Mwakazi said that he is running the Royal Voice International-a Public Relations company.
Lastly, there is the sultry Mombasa-born journalist Pheona Kenga.

The Daystar alumni started her media career at Citizen TV in 2013 where she charmed many with her thrilling feature stories.
Her deep mastery of the Kiswahili only made it better. However, she exited the scene in March 2016 and nothing much about her has been heard since.
