Matungulu MP Stephen Mule now wants Deputy President William Ruto to endorse Wiper Party leader Kalonzo Musyoka's 2022 presidential bid.
Mule who was among MPs who received DP Ruto in Machakos on Sunday, now says that Ruto should consider backing the former Vice President in 2022.
Speaking to journalists at Parliament Building's in Nairobi on Wednesday, Mule said that Kalonzo has waited for a long time to be president and DP Ruto and other candidates should endorse him.
The MP said that Kalonji has the political experience to succeed President Uhuru Kenyatta in 2022.
"Deputy President William Ruto and others eyeing the top seat should endorse Kalonzo and support him to succeed President Kenyatta in 2022," he said.
The Wiper MP said that Kalonzo is what the country needs to make a mark in terms of development.
He said that the former Vice President will fight graft squarely, tribalism and guarantee equal development if he wins in 2022.
Mule opined that as Wiper Party, they will present a memorandum to DP Ruto and other candidates to back Kalonzo in 2022.
He said that Wiper Party is open to partnerships so long as Kalonzo remains a presidential candidate in 2022.
Last week, Kalonzo announced the party' s support for Jubilee government development agenda even as claims continue to emerge that Kalonzo and DP Ruto could sign a deal to partner in 2022.
Two weeks ago, a section of Wiper MPs met with DP Ruto where they discussed the Ukambani development agenda.
