Milimani Anti-Corruption Magistrate Douglas Ogoti has directed the prosecution to present the governor and other suspects at 2:30 pm.

The governor is currently being locked up at the Milimani court holding cells.

He was arrested early Tuesday morning by Ethics and Anti-Corruption (EACC) detectives and is facing charges of abuse of office, illegal acquisition of public property and conflict of interest.

The county boss is also facing a charge of conspiring to commit an economic crime.

He is accused of allegedly trading with the Samburu County government through Oryx Service station for a supply of fuel worth Sh84,695,995.55.

The Governor is allegedly said to have been trading with Oryx since March 2013.

According to the Director of Public Prosecutions (DPP) Noordin Haji, Lenolkulal shared the money with his proxy Hesbon Ndathi.

On Tuesday, Haji's office issued a statement approving the graft charges against the governor and 13 other suspects.

EACC is in the process of recovering property believed to have been acquired through the lost public money.
