Rose Wanjiru has narrated how she met the gifted singer in December 2011 when he had separated with his wife and a romantic affair started.

The two enjoy each other’s intimacy until Wanjiru became paged with twin in 2016.

She claims Githae, whose hit songs ‘Mabataro’ and ‘Mlianza na Roho’ captured the hearts of many, then became hostile and pushed her to terminate the pregnancy.

“I refused to get an abortion, he then sent people to kill me, they beat me up until I was admitted at the hospital,” wanjiru told Tuko.co.ke

After the pregnancy saga, the 31-year-old flame claims Githae was so determined to have her procure an abortion that ‘he sent attackers to her’.

“When the thugs attacked me, I recorded a statement at Kasarani Police station but my mother told me I should do away with the case so we don’t tarnish his name since he is a celebrity,” she said.

In Kenya, abortion is a crime though it is practiced under the cloud of secrecy. The church, where Githae ministers as a gospel artist, is also blatantly against carrying out abortions.

Wanjiru’s story, if true, will open a healthy discussion on whether many artists who profess the gospel are living a lie.

When the local blog reached Githae, he confirmed impregnating Wanjiru.

“I have not refused the children are mine, neither have I refused to have a DNA test. I have been taking all the responsibilities. I have been paying the house rent for her, doing everything for her, if there’s anything else, she should tell you, this woman is out to tarnish my name, let her continue doing so,” said Githae.
