Speaking to hivisasa on Monday, Mulanyi could not hide his happiness after he was allowed to proceed to the industrial attachment.

The 22-year-old Bachelor of Commerce student had last week told hivisasa.com about his inability to pay the fee on time.

However after his story was highlighted, couldn't believe when a well-wisher sent him Sh8,000 for the fee balance. He had already received Sh2,868 through a WhatsApp group.

He attributed all this to hivisasa for covering his story.

"I am so happy to have made it. I didn't think this could happen. Hivisasa story helped me a lot. I am proceeding to my industrial attachment in May. I wish to appreciate anyone who contributed directly or indirectly to my success." said a joyful Mulanyi.

He had requested for help to clear Sh12,000 fee balance which he said his parents could not afford by then.

The student who hails from Bikhutu village, Bungoma County revealed that his parents are peasant farmers.

"My parents are unable to provide for me. I have always tried my way out using the Higher Education Loans Board (HELB) funds. Unfortunately, I couldn't make to clear this semester's fee of Sh12, 050," Mulanyi has earlier said
