We are a dangerous lot, Kenyans, especially on Twitter (KOT).

We are like an angry, hungry carnival, ready to attack in the slightest provocation. This was demonstrated by the attack on Kobi Kihara's 'stolen' photo. HypocritesSadly our stances change overnight. One day we are all agreeing with the new hit, Tujiangalie and hailing praises to the composers. In a less than a week, we forget 'kujiangalia' and mercilessly tear up a fellow Kenyan. I would be a hypocrite to ignore the concern but wait, wasn't it too much? no one can barely stomach the level of cyberbullying without a tinge of pain. No one is perfect we are all guilty of the little dark secrets we harbour. Maybe the only thing is that we're yet to be celebrities to attract sufficient scrutiny to our deeds! I can bet the experts in the scrutiny and copyright infringement and plagiarism are victims too, only yet to be caught. Wait, don't we see members of certain network marketing fixing their faces on a common car and preaching the gospel of instant success? And we let them pass without much fuss. A Good LessonIf anything good was gained from the controversial photo, as cited by Shaffie Weru, we shouldn't take anything from the social media as the biblical truth. There are faces that we want to be seen, a mask of who we are in reality. We are in an age where we care so much about how others see us online that we forget to care how we look offline. Everyone wants to look like a winner, a hero and most times forget to be one. Gladly, the online attack is like setting ablaze maize stalks, the flame is short-lived, though the damage leaves scars. I only hope that the lesson is enough for all the 'fake' and 'stolen' appearances before the attackers make you prey and ease their bitterness through you. Better concerns Lastly, as silent as my voice may be, let us pay more attention to details on issues that are of significance to us, as a nation. As much as peddling 'stolen' photos is unfair, it should be a minor concern!
