The crusade which was also aired on K24 has left many Kenyans with different views and opinions. Individuals took to social media to express their shock and disbelief after watching the ‘miracles’ that he performed.

Dr Owour's Repentance and Holiness Ministry church also has followers in Mombasa.

A section of Likoni residents have defended Awour, following negative comments directed to him and his ministry.

In an interview, they responded as indicated below:

“I do not see how the prophet’s crusade interfered with anyone’s life. Kenya is a free country and each individual has the right to believe what they want to,” said Brian Musyoki.

“People should go and witness for themselves before making conclusions based on what they read on the internet,” said Mama Maureen.

“I think that those individuals who say that the miracles are fake should prove the ‘miracles’ are truly false before airing negative comments,” Dennis Kimanthi said.

“For every church to function properly, the five pillars of the church should be represented. Dr Owour is just playing his part by serving as the prophecy pillar in his ministry,” said Hesbone Kuwanda.

“Mti wenye matunda mazuri lazima upigwe mawe and that is what people are doing,” Samuel Karrisa said.

“Ever since I joined the ministry, wonders have been happening in my life. This is why I stand with the ‘prophet’ of the Lord,” said Mama Brian.
