As ODM steps up its bid to crack the whip on the perceived rebels, Malindi MP Aisha Jumwa could be the first victim of the crackdown with her fate at the influential Parliamentary Service Commission now hanging on the balance.
National Assembly Speaker Justin Muturi has already given the Raila Odinga-led party the green light on the process to follow in removing her from her PSC Commissioner position.
This is after Minority Whip Junet Mohammed wrote to the Speaker seeking for his direction on the removal of the Malindi lawmaker from her position.
In response, Muturi said that the party would require simple majority in Parliament to kick out Jumwa.
Emboldened by the Speaker's direction, by Wednesday evening, Junet Mohammed was reportedly crafting the letter to Speaker Muturi explaining the reasons the party (ODM) is keen on removing the Malindi MP from the PSC.
