Bonchari MP John Oyioka while speaking at Suneka market On Saturday said Atwoli's remarks that DP Ruto will not be in the ballot for the presidency in 2022 are uncalled for.

"It is unacceptable for Atwoli to underestimate DP Ruto. The COTU secretary general should focus on defending workers' rights and keep off DP Ruto's presidency," Oyioka said.

According to the MP, Atwoli won't succeed in breaking the political bond between DP Ruto and President Uhuru Kenyatta.

He said DP Ruto is part of the presidency and no matter what he must be in the ballot.

"Atwoli need to know DP Ruto will run for the presidency in 2022. He is no one in the country's politics to decide on who should be on the ballot and who should not be on the ballot," stated Oyioka.

The lawmaker appealed to Atwoli to focus on uniting Western Kenya leaders and asked the Deputy President to ignore Atwoli terming him a confused individual seeking relevance.
