William Kabogo is the former Kiambu governor.
The flamboyant politician lost re-election to his critic Ferdinand Waititu in the 2017 general election.
The former governor has now declared interest in the 2022 presidential election.
Here is Kabogo’s highest academic qualification even as he prepares to battle for the presidential seat in 2022.
Born in 1964 in Komothai in Githunguri, Kabogo schooled at St Georges Ruiru School before he proceeded to Thika Technical School between 1975 and 1978.
He obtained a Diploma in Electronics from Thika Technical School before proceeding to India for undergraduate studies.
In India, Kabogo enrolled for a Bachelor’s Degree in Economics and Commerce at Punjab University.
He graduated in 1982.
Upon his return from India, Kabogo was employed as an auditor in the Auditor General’s office.
He worked as an auditor and an accountant for several Non-Government Organizations before he ventured into politics in 2002 and won the Juja parliamentary seat.
A section of Kiambu leaders has backed Kabogo’s 2022 presidential bid, saying he has what it takes to be Kenya’s next president.
