Yasmina alias Mama Adow is said to have lived in the streets of Nairobi for over 11 years now after a bitter separation with her husband.

Mama Adow, a mother of three daughters, hails from Mandera County where she lived happily with her husband before dumping him for street life.

''I don't know how I found myself here in the streets, I had followed some of my friends who I met when my mother died and they got me to into alcohol and drug abuse. As I speak some of them have died and was left in the cold with nowhere to go,'' she narrated.

Mama Adow further revealed that she got married at the age of eleven years and sired before eventually turning to street life where she has been living in devastating conditions with other street families in Kiboro slums.

She now calls for support from the public and even her kin who might hear of her story to offer her a chance to reunite with her family.

She doesn't even know where her children are as she claims her husband took them.

Yasmin hopes that one day she will meet her kids Athman, Adow and Musa.
