Former Kakamega Senator Boni Khalwale has now claimed that opposition chief Raila Odinga will be on the ballot in 2022.
Speaking during an interview on KTN's Point Blank show on Wednesday, Khalwale opined the fact that Raila's brother Oburu Odinga together with Senate Minority Leader and Siaya Senator James Orengo have on several occasions declared that Raila will be on the ballot, is a clear indication that he will participate in the poll.
The vocal politician argued that the two are always the ones who reveal information about Raila.
"I go by what James Orengo and Oburu (Odinga) said because traditionally they are the ones who normally let out the cat on Raila Odinga. Orengo and Oburu have said Raila will be on the ballot paper," said Khalwale.
He further argued that Central Organisation of Trade Unions Secretary General Francis Atwoli is managing Amani National Congress (ANC) party leader Musalia Mudavadi so that he can convince him at the right time to step down in favour of Raila.
"If you go by the pronouncement of one Francis Atwoli who is Raila's chief campaigner in the western province, he is trying to manage Mudavadi so that at the eleventh hour Raila ends up to be the only candidate," he added.
He advised Deputy President William Ruto to prepare to face the opposition leader in the polls, adding that any other person who will participate in the race to State House is a mere pacesetter.
