Gloria Kerubo Masagara who sat for her 2018 KCPE exams at Nyambunwa Academy Primary School, a private Primary School, located in Suneka, Bonchari Constituency in Kisii County has confirmed that she wants to be a surgeon once she completes her secondary education.
Gloria scored 427 marks out of the possible 500, in the recently released KCPE exams.
The top scorer revealed that she achieved the marks because she was obedient to her teachers, hard work, humility and prayerful to God.
"I could have not achieved the marks if I lacked discipline. I thank God for the exemplary performance," she noted.
Gloria said she is willing to join Kenya High or Moi Girls Eldoret for her secondary education.
Her father Mr. Alloys Ndegu Masagara said he is focused to ensure his daughter gets a proper education.
"I am a happy man following my daughter's excellent performance. I won't let her down throughout her secondary education," said Masagara.
He urged parents to invest in their children through education.
"Parents should not discriminate their children. Whether a girl or a boy, education is a right to every child," he added.
