Kisii County Deputy Governor Joash Maangi has reiterated that the county government hired competent and qualified staff.
Maangi made the remarks on Monday when he accompanied his boss Governor James Ongwae to visit the Kisii County exhibition Booth in the ongoing Lake Region Economic Block Conference 2018 at Bomet County.
"I am impressed by the high quality of our stand and extremely high morale exhibited by our competent staff. Without any doubt, Kisii residents will get quality services," he said.
The Deputy Governor said county employees should shun engaging in dubious dealings which may lead to their incompetence.
He argued that the workers must maintain high levels of integrity for the purpose of providing good services to the electorate.
"Workers earn monthly salaries and therefore, in return residents must get access to quality services. Any lazy staff will be sent home and replaced immediately by hard-working individuals," he noted.
Maangi who has declared an interest to succeed his boss Governor James Ongwae in 2022 warned county workers against engaging in politics.
"County employees should shun siding with politicians. The workers are required to keep off politics from their workplaces or they'll be sacked," he added.
