Aden Duale, the Garissa Township MP has once again won the hearts of locals by presiding over a fundraiser on Saturday that raised over 4 million shillings in a record time of three hours.
Breaking the news via his verified social media page, Duale revealed that he managed to collect the huge amount meant for the construction of Darul - Hikma Madarasa in Bura town of Bura constituency.
The chief guests in the function were Ali Wario and Sheikh Mohamed Abdi (UMUL) who is a very prominent Muslim scholar.
"Attended a fundraising for Darul - Hikma Madarasa in Bura town, Bura constituency where we raised over 4 million shillings. Thanks to our host Hon. Ali Wario and prominent Muslim scholar Sheikh Mohamed Abdi (UMUL), " disclosed Duale.
In line with his generous gesture, the lawmaker further called on the Muslim fraternity to put up more Islamic institutions so as to preserve the rich Islamic culture.
"It’s an obligation upon all Muslims to build Islamic institutions so that our children can develop a strong sense of belonging to the Muslim Ummah. This will not only preserve rich Islam heritage but will also contribute towards development and progress of Muslim Ummah in general," he added.
