The locals led by Clifford Abang’o said they elected a failure who is only interested in filling his stomach.

“We sent a failure to represent us in Parliament. It is shameful that Oyioka is among the MPs who received a bribe to participate in throwing out the Sugar Committee report after it was tabled in Parliament last week,” he said.

Mr Abang’o said the electorates will suffer on the hands of Oyioka since he has achieved nothing for the last 1 year he has been in office.

Albert Nyakoyo, another constituent said the people of Bonchari should brace for hard times in Oyioka’s tenure.

“We all know Oyioka is interested in making money and not serving people. For the 5 years, Oyioka will be in office, we are going to suffer since the MP has not shown any signs of development,” said Nyakoyo.

Duke Omweri regretted that Bonchari voters elected Oyioka thinking he will develop the constituency and now that has turned to be the opposite.

“We voted out former MP John Opore so that Oyioka can transform Bonchari but, that has turned to be the worse decision we ever made. Oyioka lied to us and we voted for him only to end up engaging in corruption by accepting bribes. Oyioka is a shame to the people of Bonchari,” said Omweri.

The residents were speaking on Tuesday morning at Suneka market.
