Bishop Stephen Nyakoi urged Ex-Bonchari MP John Opore to agree and shake hands with the current MP John Oyioka whose election was upheld by the Supreme court.

"Opore should not ignore clergymen the same way he did when we asked him to stop filing a case challenging Oyioka's August 8, 2017 win. We still insist that Opore should look for Oyioka and shake hands for the sake of unity in Bonchari," he said.

Mr. Nyakoi said Bonchari constituents deserves development and not continued divisive politics.

"Opore served as MP for 15 years. It is time he should allow others to lead the people because during his 15 years he never achieved development. We are happy that the court respected the will of the people who spoke in one voice during the last year's polls," he noted.

He challenged the current MP to serve the electorates without discrimination.

"Oyioka must be ready to develop the entire constituency without taking into consideration on who voted him and who didn't vote for him," he added.
