The family of David Yano, the man who sprayed his six children with bullets in Elgeyo Marakwet County on Sunday last week, has killed him in revenge.
Yano who had gone into hiding after the incident was captured in Kabulwo Trading Center and sprayed with six bullets, leaving him dead, on Thursday afternoon.
He was reportedly smoked out by youths from his home in Kasige village and frog marched back home before being executed by his family members.
The incident was confirmed by Koibirir Location Chief Alfred Lorem, who said that the family of the suspected bandit acted after receiving information about his location.
“He was today arrested today at Kobulwa in Keiyo North. His kinsmen were informed and they rushed with a motorbike and brought him to his home place in Kasige village and they killed him at 2:30 pm,” the administrator was quoted by the Citizen Digital.
It has also emerged that the deceased was buried immediately, according to Tot Police Station Corporal Peter Manasseh in a statement.
The man is said to have shot the children in the absence of his wife, after reportedly having s domestic row with the woman, an ordeal that left two of them dead.
The three who survived are being treated at the Iten Referral Hospital while the bodies of the dead are being preserved at the same facility's morgue.
