Mombasa County Governor Ali Hassan Joho on Thursday, met Suna East lawmaker Junet Mohammed in Nairobi.
Joho, ODM's deputy party leader met Junet who is also the ODM director of elections after he (Joho) attended a Council of Governors meeting to discuss speeding up of development programmes in counties and national constitutional matters.
The two discussed a range of issues including the recent appointment of their party leader, Raila Odinga as an AU envoy.
"The Governor of Mombasa H.E Hassan Ali Joho paid a courtesy call to me at my office in parliament. We discussed issues of National Importance and celebrated the appointment of our party leader To AU," Junet disclosed on Twitter.
The two also met three months ago after Joho appeared before the Senate Public Accounts and Investments Committee.
The Mombasa county boss had appeared before the Homa Bay Senator Otieno Kajwang-led Committee to respond to audit queries raised in the Auditor and Controller General’s report 2014-2015 financial year.
Junet, a staunch Raila ally also campaigned alongside Joho, for Ochillo Ayacko in the Migori senatorial by-election early this month. The ODM politician later emerged victor in the contest.
