Kenya's decorated lawyer Donald Kipkorir has accused South Africa of plagiarism for what he termed as copying Kenya's key pillars of education, crime prevention approach, appointment criteria and splitting the monopoly power company, ESKOM.

According to the lawyer, the speech contained agenda that were similar to the jubilee governments of digital tablets for every child in the country, adoption of the new education system, the appointment of the new Director of public prosecution and the modernization initiative in the fight against perpetrators of serial crimes.
"Did a Kenyan write tosdy’s SONA2019 speech for Cyril Ramaphosa? It had: Digital tablets for every child. Adopted Kenya’s new education system. Appointed new DPP. Split the monopoly power company, ESKOM. Nyumba Kumi initiative. South Africa should pay Kenya for the plagiarism," claimed Kipkorir
ESKOM which is a South Africa's electricity public utility is bound to be split into three entities according to South Africa's head of state Cyril Ramaphosa.
