At Vipingo Ridge on Thursday, the two leaders along with Mombasa Governor Hassan Joho held a closed-door meeting that could further cause tensions in Jubilee party.

But ODM treasurer Timothy Bosire said: "I don't have details about the meeting but I can assure you the two regularly meet and there is nothing new about it."

"They are busy Building Bridges thus there meetings. We should not read too much all the times," said the former Kitutu Masaba MP.

Nyamira County ODM chairman Richard Kaka said unity between the duo had stabilized the country since the unexpected March 9th handshake.

He asked those opposing the unity to 'meditate and come to their senses' for the sake of development.

"Those who thrive in divisive politics should meditate and come back to their senses. Kenya is surging forward."
