Locals said the man identified as Caleb Morang'a went abandoned his wife Elizabeth Mong'ina with two kids thirty years ago.

"It is shocking that Morang'a who reportedly went to work at a coffee farm in Kiambu 30 years ago returned home and disowned the same woman he left home as his wife," said a shocked villager Teresa Bosibori.

Margaret Angwenyi condemned Mr. Morang'a saying it was shameful for him to disown Mong'ina who has been faithful waiting for him to return home 30 years after he abandoned her at his poor home.

"It is unacceptable for Morang'a to disown the woman who has suffered with the two kids alone for all the 30 years he was missing from home. Mong'ina should take all the property she has made during the thirty years her husband was away," said Ms. Angwenyi.

A local chief Harrison Omanga said Morang'a was incited by his aging parents to disown his wife.

"Morang'a will have to start from zero since Mong'ina will take all the property she has made for the 30 years Morang'a was away," said the chief.

The administrator said Mong'ina with her two kids have since moved to a rental house in the area.
