The residents under the Nyamira Residence Group said the criteria Nyamira County Governor John Nyagarama used to appoint the 12 board members was unconstitutional.

The group chairman Ben Abuga Omwenga and his vice Joash Nyachae said the new board members should be disbanded.

"The names of the board members doesn't represent the face of Nyamira. The county boss discriminated other regions and this has made us to move to court to challenge the governor's wrong decision," said Omwenga.

According to Omwenga, no one is going to stop them from filing the case agains the county boss.

"The governor declined the previous names which were forwared to his office and now he gave priority to his favored individuals. He should be ready to face us in court," he added.

Nyachae condemned Nyagarama saying his old age is misleading him.

"There must be inclusivity in the county appointments. We are moving to court so that the new members can be dismissed. Nyagarama should stop his poor style of leadership and dictatorship," said Nyachae.
