Echesa was on Friday fired by President Uhuru Kenyatta, only a year after he took over from former CS Hassan Wario.

But speaking on Saturday, Mwaura said that the latter should expect more trouble in the next coming days, including being isolated by government officials who are his friends.

He added that unlike in the recent past when Echesa was surrounded by powerful persons and politicians, he must brace for a situation where he remains all alone.

"In a few days he will begin to feel the heat and lose almost all of the high ranking persons who have been milling around him. Most of these people avoid you when you are in trouble," he said.

He narrated going through the same after being kicked out of the Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) in the run up to the 2017 polls.

The lawmaker was then a nominated Member of the National Assembly on the party ticket, and says that he was completely isolated.

"I went through the same when I was chased out of ODM. Even the people who were my friends initially avoided me to avoid clashes with the party authorities. He should prepare for the same," he added.

Echesa's ouster has since attracted mixed reactions from the political class, with both himself and the president yet to comment on the issue.
