The leaders have been hitting the headlines recently with many lamentations over the latest happenings in the political scene.

Among others, the ongoing political romance between President Uhuru Kenyatta and opposition leader Raila Odinga.

In an interview on Citizen TV Tuesday evening, Nyeri Town lawmaker Ngunjiri Wambugu lashed out at the leaders for what he termed as trying to be special.

Wambugu said that the nation has many other communities happy and benefiting from the March 9 truce and cannot be opposed by a certain group simply to realize their political goals.

"People in Rift Valley should not be complaining about anything and everything. The nation is bigger than them, it's not only about them," he said.

The MP lauded the President and the former Prime Minister for taking the step that seems to have calmed the nation from the initial polarization witnessed after the 2017 elections.

He said that things should be done to benefit the nation and not a clique of individuals.

"This is not about a community but the entire nation. Let some people not take it that everything must be done their way," added the youthful parliamentarian.
