Among those who missed the event at Kitutu Masaba is Interior CS Fred Matiang'i who however claimed that he was held up in Nairobi.

"Our minister Matiang'i will not make it due to some other state functions in Nairobi. He is however with us," said area MP Shadrack Mose.

But Bosire, who doubles as ODM leader says the leaders showed their dissatisfaction with Ruto's 'lies' to the public.

Further, he said, the DP only concentrated in launching of old projects for mileage instead of coming with 'tangible' promises.

"He was snubbed because he only came to launch old projects. There is nothing new he brought to the people," he said.

Wiper national Vice Chair Victor Swanya added: "Peope are tired with these tricks. We shall continue giving him a wide berth."

Also missing the function at Keroka and Rigoma were Borabu MP Ben Momanyi and his West Mugirango counterpart Kemosi Mogaka.
