Ezekiel Mutua is the current Kenya Film Classification Board (KFCB) Chief Executive Officer (CEO).
Born and raised in Machakos, Mutua is equally among the controversial top state officers.
The KFCB CEO schooled at Tala primary school and later proceeded to Tala Boys High school for his secondary education.
He then enrolled for Bachelors Degree in Sociology and Linguistics at the Kenyatta University (KU).
He graduated in 1994.
In 2010, Mutua graduated with a Master’s Degree in Communications Studies from the University of Nairobi (UoN).
He is currently undertaking a Postgraduate Degree in Media Studies at the same university.
The KFCB boss is loved and hated in equal measures and has several times found himself in controversy over some proposals to regulate the advertising and film industry.
Mutua is a passionate media expert with an immense passion for communication.
He started his career as a trained reporter with Nation Media Group in 1994 before he was appointed sub-editor in 1998.
Before his appointment as KFCB boss, Mutua was the Director of Information and Public Communications.
He is married with children.
Mutua is also a staunch Christian.
