Nyamira County Okong'o Omogeni is in hot soup after a local politician fired warning shots claiming the opposition allied senator is lazy.
Atati Kengere accused Mr Omogeni for failing to be a development champion since he won elections in 2017.
The vocal politician described the senator as an 'egocentric' leader only interested in earning monthly salary.
"Nyamira residents elected a failure who is deeply sleeping instead of over sighting the county leadership. People like Omogeni should not be elected in 2022," he said.
Mr Atati blamed Omogeni over the leadership wrangles which has rocked Nyamira County.
"O' Mogeni instead of mediating between MCAs, executives and the governor's office he is silence. Nyamira residents have no hopes and trust in the failed senator who is waiting to be sent home," he added.
The Kenya National Congress (KNC) party leader challenged the senator to wake up and deliver or else Nyamira locals to go on rampage to force him work.
"Impunity in Nyamira county must end for locals to get development. Mr. Omogeni should be held accountable for lack of development in the county," said Atati.
