Speaking on Friday in his constituency,  Muli said that the number of youths who are committing suicide in the constituency was worrying.

He urged youths to seek professional help from parents and even religious leaders when such thoughts engulf them.

"A lot of our youths, future leaders are committing suicide and it's worrying. Our children should know suicide is a permanent solution to a temporary problem," said Muli.

The youthful lawmaker also asked the youth who are battling suicidal thoughts to approach him and talk about the issues weighing them down.

He said that he is a youth and conscious of most of the issues affecting youths.

"Come to my offices and request to see me. If I'm not around,  wait for me until I come so that we can converse about your issue and I'm sure there is no problem without a solution, "he added.

He urged parents to enrol their children in polytechnics to acquire skills that will enable them to find jobs.

"A lot of youths are unemployed. If they are enrolled in polytechnics, they can acquire skills and with that, they can employ themselves," he remarked.

Muli spoke to the press after inspecting various projects in his constituency.
