Panyako has gone further to reveal where he worked before joining the union.

He made the confession on Citizen TV while being interviewed by Hussein Mohammed.

The vocal unionist has stated that he worked as a nurse at Kenyatta National Hospital before becoming the secretary general for Kenya National Union of Nurses.

Panyako defended himself by claiming that he knows the health systems situation, especially what goes on in a hospital. He was reacting to claims that he did not feel for the suffering patients in health facilities by obstinately calling for nurses' strike.

"I worked at KNH in my last engagement as a nurse in Kenya. I know what happens in health facilities," stated Seth.

Nurses in several counties in Kenya are on strike over what they termed as the government having no listening ear. They are demanding that their grievances made in a Collective Bargaining Agreement signed in the past acted upon by the government.

Panyako has made his resolve firm by stating that nurses on strike would not resume duty until the government act on what they are agitating for.
