This comes amid claims of a widening rift between President Uhuru Kenyatta and his deputy William Ruto.

In a press conference in Nakuru on Wednesday, the MP said that a PG meeting is very necessary and might help reunite the party MPs and leaders before the situation gets out of hand.

He vowed to personally push President Uhuru and Ruto with regards to the same, noting that the party needs to restrategize.

Ngunjiri said that he will also see to it that the party goes for its elections soon.

"We are pushing the President and his deputy that the next thing becomes a PG meeting for us to talk as MPs and elections ili tujipange poa (so that we can prepare ourselves)," said the MP.

The remarks come only a day after Uhuru visited Ruto at his Harambee Annex offices in Nairobi in a move that has been hailed by Jubilee leaders as a sign of continued union.

Until recently, the two leaders' troops were seen tearing into each other regarding Uhuru's truce with opposition leader Raila Odinga and the ongoing anti-corruption fight.
