Mwala Member of Parliament Vincent Musyoka Musau has branded ODM leader Raila Odinga as the people’s conman.
The MP claims that that Raila cannot be trusted and is involved in the fake gold scandal.
According to Musau, Raila is only good at ‘vitendawili’ (parables).
Speaking in Narok East on Saturday, the Mwala lawmaker said Raila promised to take his supporters to Canaan but failed and later abandoned them.
He further accused the former Prime Minister of abandoning his co-principals in the national Super Alliance (NASA) Wiper Party's Kalonzo Musyoka, Ford Kenya's Moses Wetangula and Musalia Mudavadi (ANC) in the handshake deal with President Uhuru Kenyatta.
In a video shared by Daily Nation, the MP said, “The people’s conman exports conman-ship to United Arabs Emirates on issues of fake gold risking thousands Kenyans working in Dubai who currently face deportation.”
The MP spoke in presence of Deputy President William Ruto who was launching development projects in Narok County.
Other politicians who spoke during the rally asked Directorate of Criminal Investigation (DCI) George Kinoti to probe Raila Odinga.
Led by Narok Woman Representative Soipan Tuya, the politicians alleged that there is compelling evidence that Raila could be involved in the gold scandal.
The alleged fake gold scandal continues to elicit political debate among politicians even as the DCI conducts investigations to unravel the truth.
On Friday, Raila Odinga distance himself from the saga, saying that he was a whistle-blower.
He also defended Interior Cabinet Secretary Dr Fred Matiang’i against claims that he is involved in the gold scam.
