6 students were treated and discharged while the remaining are still under medical care, with their parents now blaming the school for failing to notify them of the incident early enough.

The incident is said to have happened after their fellow student, a form one, became possessed with evil spirits.

This prompted others to attempt to pray for her in a bid to cast away the satanic spirits that are said to have taken over her.

However, reports the Citizen Digital, she turned chaotic and attacked them, leaving 13 of them seriously injured apart from the commotion in the dormitories.

According to Caren Auma, a clinician at Howic Hospital in Kisumu's Nyalenda area where they were rushed, the girls were taken to the hospital on Sunday night.

She said that the majority of them were nursing soft tissue injuries.

The incident was confirmed by Kisumu Central Sub-county Director of Education Charles Ang'iela who said that the student was taken away by her parents for further observation.

Ang'iela said that a probe has been launched into the incident.
