On Tuesday, the National Assembly Committee of Power and Privileges ordered the two first-time MPs to apologise, stating that their action disgraced the dignity and integrity of the House.

The two engaged in blows and kicks in October 2017 after Babu Owino “attacked” President Uhuru Kenyatta calling him a caretaker president and declaring that he could not recognise him as a legitimate president.

This resulted in a physical confrontation when Jaguar insisted that Babu Owino should respect the president. They were separated by the parliament staff.

Later, they reportedly forgave each other.

Things were made easier between them when President Uhuru joined hands with the opposition leader Raila Odinga.

“What happened (in Parliament) was very unfortunate. I forgive Babu Owino. I also ask him to forgive me. However, I insist that Babu Owino must respect the president. Should he fail to respect the Head of State again, I will deal with him,” said Jaguar some days after the fight.
