Former US President Barack Obama lands in his father's home, Kogello on Monday morning, a village with 'tragic' memories that perhaps shapes his dramatic life.

Obama, who has since landed in Nairobi, last visited the village in 2006 as a senator but would skip in his 2015 much-publicised visit in the country as POTUS.

But the Times of Israeli reports that Obama's most famous sister, Auma Obama, had her mother Kezia Obama, to blame for Barack's early life struggles.

Having met Ann Dunham in 1960, Brack Obama Snr Married the American woman from Kansas who was studying at Hawaii at that time on condition that he would later divorce his Kenyan woman.

But in 1962a year after Obama's birth, the couple divorced after it emerged that Obama Snr had not divorced Kezia back home.

She would later get married to an Indonesian, Lolo Soetoro, with whom she had Obama's half-sister, Maya Soetoro.

Obama Senior, who had secured an admission at Harvard, also married Ruth Baker, a Jew with whom he gave birth to Mike Okoth.

But throughout his life, the former US president has never hidden his love for  Auma, who is credited for reconnecting him with Kenyan family.

On Monday, Obama will grace the launching of Sauti Kuu Foundation, an initiative of Auma Obama.
