Speaking on Citizen TV's JKL on Wednesday, Miguna said that Raila only appeared after he realised he was about to take the crowd to the wrong direction. He alleged that Raila was missing in action until 3 p.m when he appeared.

“Raila did not want to come to the swearing in and only came at 3 o’clock when I had been left with the million people at the park and they feared I would take the people to a direction they would not be able to control,” he said in part.

He also revealed that he jumped into Raila's daughter Winnie Odinga’s vehicle to escape from Uhuru Park after the ceremony all the way to his Karen home. He insisted that he was ready for anything when swearing in the opposition leader.

“I had to jump into Winnie’s vehicle to find myself in Karen and as you can see from photos and they are here from after the event, it was just myself, Orengo, Jimmy, Ida, Raila and Malala. So these people who are saying Kajwang swore Raila in but where is he?” he added while showing Jeff Koinage the photos taken from the scene.
