Wiper party leader Kalonzo Musyoka has dismissed the perception that he has a political agreement with President Uhuru Kenyatta. This comes following his arrangement as the new leader of the Joint Checking and Assessment Commission (JMEC) on harmony in South Sudan.
Speaking in Isinya on Sunday during the thanksgiving ceremony for Wiper party official Joshua Olouwasa, Kalonzo held that he did not meet President Kenyatta or choose to work with him for any pre-election gains.
He maintained that he made the decision to further and extend the solidarity and unity of the country after the 2017 disruptive political season.
"I don't have any arrangement with President Uhuru Kenyatta, I am on the arranging table, whatever it is we will table it there. My dedication currently is building extensions and help in recuperating this nation," said the Wiper leader.
He said that the nation was on a state of emergency and there should have been a political decision and sacrifice to calm tempers and produce a unified front for Kenya.
The National Super Alliance (NASA) leader argues that he took himself to work with the President aiming at having Kenyans benefit in the long run.
"After the handshake, I chose not to be abandoned, we participated in the process so as to unite Kenyans, end tribalism and fabricate scaffolds to empower even a Maasai to become a leader in this country," he said.
He went on to note that, "Kenyans were slaughtered and injured, Hon. Robert Mbui and Hon. Anthony Oluoch broke their legs during the battle, those are the 'crocodiles' we are discussing," said Mr. Musyoka.
