Jonathan, a son to former President Daniel Toroitich Arap Moi died in Nakuru on Friday.

By early Saturday, mourners were already trickling to his home in Kabimoi village in Koibatek, as workers were busy putting up tents to house mourners.

Mr Sawe who closely worked with him, hailed JT (as he was popularly known in the area) as a generous fellow whose kindness is unequaled.

“He was the first person I saw donating Sh100,000 for a water project and a hospital in Eldama Ravine,” Mr Sawe told the Nation.

Ms Salina Suge, a former nominated civic leader in the region termed Moi as a man ehp had a very hih heart.

She narrated how he allowed herders to graze their animals in his expansive farm and even gave them free milk from his cows.

“During the dry spell, a season like the current one, JT allowed herders to graze their animals in his expansive farm and neighbours to get milk for free from his cows. He was as generous as his father," she said.

The same was reiterated by Mr Mustapha Hamisi who said that the former rally driver's presence in the area always cheered locals up, as many others expressed shock in his death.

Jonathan's death has also been regretted by huge number of politicians, most of whom worked with his father in a way or another.
