A pastor attached to a local church in Gekondo, Ekerenyo, North Mugirango has been accused for lying to followers over false miracles.
Followers of Gekondo church led by Boniface Okundi claimed that the pastor Charles Mayaka has been slapping church followers as a method of exorcising demons.
"The fake man of God has been slapping followers claiming he is exorcising demons. Some of the followers end up crying because he slaps them hard,” he said.
Euniah Bosibori, another church member said the pastor has been cheating them that he possesses powers to drive away demons, catch thieves and adulterous people.
“He is a liar who should be avoided at all cost. We can’t continue going to the church to worship there until the pastor leaves the church.
"Several followers have been injured with the slaps which he claims are removing demons from people,” she noted.
According to her, the pastor is only interested to cheat people to get fame.
