Speaking on Sunday, the former Kisumu Woman Representative said that the DP cannot make it without the former premier, and should therefore stop attacking him all the time.

She added that Ruto should show respect to the former PM and even apologize for his disrespect, including by kneeling before him.

The lawmaker further warned the DP and his allies against their implication of the Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) boss in the Sh400 million fake gold scandal.

Nyamunga argued that Ruto camp is picking a fight with a force stronger than them, also laughing off their demands that Raila records a statement following his confession that he indeed knows something about the issue.

According to Nyamunga, the group is asking for an impossible thing, claiming that calling for the DCI to summon Raila is like squeezing water from a rock.

"Ruto and his brothers should stop biting more than they can chew. Asking the DCI to summon Raila is like trying to squeeze water from a rock.

"If Ruto surely wants to become president then he should swallow his pride and go kneel before Baba (Raila) as a way of showing respect to him. That's the only sure bet for him," she wrote on Facebook.

The two and their teams have been engaged in a war of words, ahead of their expected faceoff in the 2022 general polls.

However, though Ruto's bid is already in the public domain, Raila has remained largely silent on his plans, after four futile bids previously.
