Elgeyo Marakwet Senator Kipchumba Murkomen has cancelled his bet with Rift Valley’s popular comedy team Propesa.
Murkomen and the Propesa team had apparently placed a bet on the game between Kenya Premier League (KPL)champions Gor Mahia and England's Everton.
The game was played at Goodison Park in England on Tuesday where Everton won 4-0.
According to the bet, Murkomen was supporting Gor Mahia while the Propesa team was behind Everton FC.
In the event that Gor Mahia had won the game, Murkomen would have selected five local football teams from any part of the country and the Propesa group would purchase new balls and kits for.
For an Everton win, the Propesa group would have the opportunity to select ten schools and Senator Murkomen would purchase balls and kits for the schools' football teams.
With Everton winning the game, Murkomen was expected to honour the bet agreement. However, according to a video posted by Murkomen on his Facebook page, he says that he was not given enough time to think through the bet.
The vocal Senator also claims Gor Mahia played below his expectations and that the bet stands cancelled.
