A group of Kalenjin youths have put controversial Embakasi East MP Paul Ongili alias Babu Owino on notice, accusing him of undermining DP William Ruto.
In a press conference on Friday, the group insisted that the MP lacks decorum and respect, adding that they will not spare him next time he abuses Ruto.
They gave Owino, the first term ODM legislator 24 hours to apologise, adding that they are ready to handle him should he fail to apologise to Ruto.
"There is some old man called Babu Owino. Everywhere he goes, he abuses Deputy President William Ruto. As Rift Valley youths, we condemn his actions. We give him 24 hours to apologise or deal with him. He must respect Ruto," their spokesman said.
Mr Owino in a recent rally at Kibra, hurled unprintable words to DP William Ruto, accusing him of undermining ODM leader Raila Odinga.
Afterwards, he refused to apologise, arguing that he learn the behavior from some of his seniors in politics, including US President Donald Trump.
"Even Trump taught me some, then I devised my own because I knew that was the right direction given from the politically experienced. Let the old teach us the young the right way and morals of life. No apologies still. Raila must be respected," he said.
"I learnt this politics of hurling insults from my political elders. I listened when Baba was called Mganga consistently (imagine how a mganga’s shrine looks like). When he was called a mad man, when he was called a lord of poverty, when he was called Kipii(uncircumcised)."
Owino is one of fierce critics of Deputy President William Ruto and has often skipped DP Ruto's functions at his Embakasi East constituency.
