The label is owned by a young, talented chap known as John Basil Siali alias Jawabu Umri.

Since it's establishment in 2013, Jawabu has become a musical powerhouse taking the airwaves by storm after recording some of the big names in the gospel industry both in Kenya and East Africa.

"Jawabu is really doing well and more artistes are coming to record with us after listening to our work," Basil told hivisasa.

He went ahead to name some of the top gospel hits jawabu studios has recorded so far.

1. Yesu nde compe by Kamba gospel star Stephen Kasolo

The song won Eastern counties song of the year 2017. "I didn't know that one day I will record a hit which can take a groove award home. I was proud when Kasolo won," he said

2. Kidomodomo by Tanzanian songbird Oliver wema.

"The Gospel hit song took all radio stations and TV channels by storm in 2016. I received a lot of calls congratulating from strangers because of that tune. From the instruments to mastering it was wow," said Basil.

3. Watangonja sana sung by Jose Drama featuring Rose Muhando.

Basil said that he Recorded the song in February 2019 and the song is dominating the gospel industry so far 

4. Lazima wakae by controversial Tanzanian gospel singer Rose Muhando.

5. Vingilitya by Zipporah Eric

Other songs include Kioo by John basil, Timing by Kitisya, Mwene  Mumo na wendo by Wilberforce Musyoka among others.

Apart from recording big artistes, the producer has offered to help young talents grow. "I am planning for talent search events  allover Ukambani and Kenya this month," he said
