Farmers in Nakuru county and its environs will benefit from an agricultural office that has been set up in Nakuru town.
The office was set up by Toyota Tsusho Corporation on Tuesday.The sales, service and spare parts outlet is located opposite Westside Mall.
Speaking during the opening, chairman of board of directors, case ambassador, Denis Awori said the move was informed by a need to support farmers in the country.
“For food security to be achieved, Kenya needs to improve on mechanization and that is why as a cooperate we are doing this. The move is in line with our drive to expand footprint in the agriculture industry,” Awori said.
The outlet will offer service to farm machinery as well as offering fertilizer from Toyota Tsusho fertilizer Africa Ltd.
“The investment in this new site underlines the commitment of TTEA to support employment while boosting the Kenyan agricultural sector,” Awori added.
Ian Allan, the general manager, said farmers will reap big from the outlet.
“We are working with financial institutions to ensure there is a plan that works best for our customers,” he said.
