Kimilili MP Didmus Baraza has challenged former Prime Minister Raila Amolo Odinga to extend the handshake spirit to his former aide and controversial lawyer Miguna Miguna.
In a video shared on Twitter by Daily Nation, the lawmaker said Raila has not been sincere in the fight to ensure peace for the sake of economic growth.
He insisted that the only way the ODM leader can prove his seriousness is ensuring Miguna returns home as soon as possible.
“I want to tell Raila that Miguna is a Kenyan, he is the one who hired him when he was a Prime Minister so if he is engaging in the real handshake, Miguna Miguna should be back into this country as soon as possible," Baraza said in part in the video.
Miguna has been launching endless attacks at Raila and recently claimed that Raila was a conman. He also alleged that the ODM leader misled his people by accepting to work with President Uhuru Kenyatta in the name of the handshake.
“To the People's Con-Man @RailaOdinga: We cannot forget the thousands who have been tortured, maimed, injured or killed by Uhuru Kenyatta. A people who forget their past have no future. Victims of repression are entitled to JUSTICE. You are a cowardly betrayer. #DespotsMustFall,” he tweeted in the past.
