'Kusema na kutenda' became a famous slogan used by the Jubilee Party during their campaigns and they must live up to it now that they are in power.
Latest to benefit from the kusema na kutenda government are locals from Baricho, Kilifi county, where Deputy President William Ruto commissioned the construction of a Sh2.3 billion bridge on Friday 28.
Speaking during the launch, Ruto said the 220 metres Baricho bridge will be constructed by China Railway 10 to ease transport within Magarini and Malindi.
"Today we are launching this bridge and one of our commitment we made to the people of Kilifi. We no longer talk but act on our promises. This Baricho Bridge will be a game-changer in terms of economic empowerment of the people, "the DP said.
He was accompanied by several Coast leaders among them Lunga Lunga MP Khatib Mwashetani, Kilifi North MP Owen Baya, Taita Woman Rep Lydia Haina, her Kilifi counterpart Getrude Mbeyu and Msambweni MP Suleiman Dori.
Welcoming the construction, Malindi MP Aisha Jumwa had this to say;
"I want to say a big thank you to the government in the realisation of this dream. Go and tell the President that we are happy with this project. It will sustain economic livelihoods of the people," said Ms Jumwa.
