There was drama after two men who were playing gambling game exchanged blows over Sh100.
The incident happened on Tuesday Nyandiba village in Nyamusi area, Nyamira County.
Witnesses said Abel Mogendi was at a gambling machine with Christopher Mokua before a heated argument ensued between them over Sh100.
“Mogendi and Mokua were at a gambling machine where they were gambling.
"Trouble started after Mokua’s Sh100 went missing. Mokua demanded to search Mogendi’s pockets to know whether he was the one who stole the Sh100 a proposal Mogendi declined leading to a fight,” said Elvis Bikundo.
Mr. Bikundo said the two exchanged blows for 10 minutes before members of the public intervened and separated them.
Area assistant chief, Edward Jomo confirmed the incident and said the two gamblers were surrendered to his office by members of the public.
"Mogendi and Mokua were brought to my office. Mogendi had injuries on his forehead while Mokua’s left hand was swollen following the fight they had. I also had to cane them since they were gambling in public yet it is prohibited,” he said.
Jomo said he released the two and urged them to go to hospital to be treated.
