Mombasa Governor Ali Hassan Joho's political rival, Suleiman Shahbal was on Wednesday spotted with Ford Kenya party leader, Bungoma Senator Moses Wetangula.
The two were spotted at the Jomo Kenyatta International Airport (JKIA) as Wetnagula jetted in the country from Perth, Australia where he had gone to attend the African Downunder conference.
The Kenyan delegation was led by Wetangula, during a meeting with the Kenyan High commissioner in Australia, Amb. Isaiah Keberia on August 30.
The conference aimed at presenting Kenya as an attractive investment destination for Petroleum and Mining. After the presentations, there was a Kenya Investor Briefing organised by the Australia Africa Minerals and Energy Group (AAMEG)
While in Dubai to Kenya from Australia, Wetangula alongside his team met Shahbal, who was appointed the chairperson of the board in the Kenya Trade Network.
Kenya Trade Network is a State Agency under Treasury whose role is to facilitate cross-border trade, establish as well as manage the implementation of the Kenya National Electronic Single Window System.
Kenya National Electronic Single Window System's primary objective is to facilitate international trade by reducing delays and lowering costs associated with clearance of goods at the Kenyan borders.
"Have had a full day of meetings in Dubai focusing on how to improve trade ties between Kenya and the UAE. I'm on my way back from Downunder," said Wetangula in a tweet after arriving at JKIA.
Wetangula also met former Nigerian President Olusegun Obasanjo while in Australia.
