Speaking at Strathmore University in Nairobi on Thursday, Kalonzo said that his party is open to any partnership provided it is centered around unity and development.

The former Vice President said that he is reaching out to top politicians to back his 2022 presidential bid.

"We have embarked on the journey to unite Kenyans and bring equitable development and as a party we are ready and willing to work with other like-minded leaders," he said.

Kalonzo said that Kenyans deserve good leadership, adding that its time politicians put aside their differences and devote to work.

He said the country needs sober leaders to tackle the issues like corruption and poverty.

"I don't want to seem like campaigning but my message to Kenyans and the political class is that we must sit down and talk on serious issues facing our country," he said.

Kalonzo urged elected leaders to stop politicking and work for Kenyans.

He said that development is likely to cripple if elected leaders continue debating on 2022 politics.

There have been speculations that Kalonzo could partner with DP Ruto in 2022 presidential election.
